What is SCAD you may ask? It is the Society of Color and Appearance in Dentistry – an organization created to foster communications and research among dental disciplines, industrial researchers, institutional scientific investigators and others with an interest in color and appearance in dentistry.
Why attend this meeting? It’s a great opportunity to meet world-class clinicians and dental laboratory technicians and together, share ideas on designing and fabricating the most life-like restorations for patients. To achieve the best possible results, one must understand and have a true appreciation for color, translucency, fluorescence and behavior of material properties that go into making dental restorations.
What lies ahead? SCAD continues to advance multidisciplinary collaboration and discovery among experts, who go on to create and implement educational programs, such as Free Color Training, for dental professionals. Look for Dr. Cross to be presenting his work and research at this meeting in the near future. For more information visit: www.scadent.org
